Xavier Williams is a Charleston-based sopranist countertenor and the founder and artistic director of Aria Amore.
His voice inhabits the brilliant upper register of the male voice with warmth, power and striking clarity — equally at home in Baroque repertoire, American art song, sacred music, spirituals and the unexpected repertoire that makes a room lean closer.
Aria Amore was created around a simple belief: classical music is most powerful when virtuosity and human connection are allowed to occupy the same room.
